Parking and Vehicle Registration

The Office of Student Affairs is responsible to assure that only student, faculty, or “Rivendell Visitors’” vehicles occupy Rivendell parking places. Student Affairs staff has the authority to warn or to ticket vehicles inappropriately parked in Rivendell-designated parking spaces. Updated vehicle registration tags are issued to each student and to faculty members yearly. Failure to register a second vehicle, etc., or failure to place a vehicle’s registration tag in its proper position on the vehicle (car, motorcycle, or motorized scooter, etc.) will justify a “warning.” A second warning will prompt the issuance of a ticket. Flagrant, repeated violations of Rivendell’s parking policy by community members or by outsiders will result in a vehicle being booted and/or towed.

Vehicle-Related Fines

All vehicle-related fines can be paid in the Business Office. A fine or fines unpaid at the end of a semester will generate a “hold” on student’s grades and/or will inhibit a student’s graduation process.
All questions or concerns related to any of these issues should be directed to the helpful staff of the Business Office. For your information, any and all disputes are handled in accordance with Rivendell’s Covenants published in the Student Handbook.
