Rivendell College invites academically qualified students
and adults to enroll in classes through any of its five Guest Student
Programs. These programs are the
Participation in any Guest Student Program requires an application and
formal admission. Auditors may also enroll in classes on a space
available basis.
Rivendell welcomes non-degree students of any faith or no faith to
enroll in its Guest Student Programs without discrimination. However, all
students are required to comply with Rivendell’s Classroom Covenant and Statement on Intellectual Integrity.
Finally, enrollment in classes through
Guest Student Programs does not constitute or guarantee future
acceptance in a degree program at Rivendell College.
Note on Course Credit: While Rivendell College goes through the
process of gaining regional
accreditation, Guest Students have the option of taking certain
Rivendell-facilitated classes for Northwestern College credit. That
option for earning credit is according to the terms of the agreement Northwestern College has with Rivendell's sister organization, Dayspring Center for
Christian Studies.
Northwestern College
is
fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central
Association. In the past, Northwestern courses have been accepted for
transfer credit by the University of Colorado,
Colorado State University, the University of Northern Colorado, and
other Colorado schools. A student who takes courses for Northwestern
credit may also ask that Rivendell College accept Northwestern credit
and apply it towards fulfilling Rivendell degree requirements.
