THE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM: The Certificate Program is a one-year lower division college curriculum for high school graduates who plan to attend a four-year public university, but would like to begin by learning from Christian professors who engage the academy in dialogue and debate from the perspective of a Christian worldview.   The Certificate Program is a 30-semester credit program, comprised of courses in Christian Studies and a variety of courses designed to meet general education requirements for a bachelor’s degree.  Upon the successful completion of 30 semester credits and the core courses (listed below), students will receive a Certificate in Undergraduate Studies.

Certificate Program Core Courses:

  • RLST 2200 or 3200 The Religion and Literature of Ancient Israel (3)
  • RLST 2300 or 3300 The New Testament and Christian Origins (3)
  • RLST 2500 or 3500 The Christian Tradition (3)

and one of the following:

  • PHIL 1010 Introduction to Philosophy (3)
  • PHIL 1020 Introduction to Ethics (3)
  • PHIL 1030 Introduction to Philosophy of Religion (3)
  • RLST 1000 Introduction to Worldviews (3)
