Is Rivendell's housing co-ed or gender-separated? |

The residential facilities are co-ed communities. Men and women are separated by floors or wings with gender-restricted bathrooms. Each gender has an R.A. who monitors activities on his or her floor or wing. Residents who have members of the opposite sex in their rooms within curfew boundaries are required to leave the door fully open. In-house curfews restrict access to opposite-gendered areas during night-time hours. All residents are required to sign the following covenant, violation of which can result in termination of their lease:
Tenant shall agree to abide by the following guidelines for Christian lifestyle: Tenant shall seek to maintain high standards of integrity in all areas of life, including interpersonal and community relationships, academic work and Christian ministry. Tenant shall seek to live an exemplary Christian life, practicing respect and concern for all people, honesty, and appropriate behavior toward other tenants and visitors to the Premises. Tenant shall refrain from the following anywhere on Premises: explicit immodesty, pre-marital sex, acts of homosexuality, use of pornography, smoking of tobacco products, storing or consuming of any alcoholic beverage, storing, consuming or otherwise using any illegal non-prescription drug, and any illegal use of a prescription drug.
