The purpose of Rivendell's Academic Institutes is to help the College fulfill its mission by raising and marshaling financial resources for specific areas of inquiry.  Students of Rivendell College and our host communities will benefit from this enterprise.   In the broadest context, the Institutes will enable Rivendell College to be part of a larger cultural conversation on many important topics, and to play a significant role in influencing the contemporary world.

The following institutes were launched in 2009-2010:

The following institutes are in formative stages of planning and funding:

• Institute for Business Leadership
• Institute for Social Entrepreneurship
• Institute for Intercultural Studies
• Institute for Law and Public Affairs
